eMATH April 2022 Newsletter

Happy April to all. Hopefully you all are enjoying some warmer weather along with a chance at some needed rest during spring break. The school year is moving into its final phase, and we are preparing our final materials for the year. With the end of the year coming up, we will again be hosting our New York State Regents Review sessions for each of the major high school exams, i.e. Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. In these review sessions, we will go through a single Regents exams from a previous year from the first problem to the last. Each session will be the night before the exam is to take place and will be from 6 to 9 p.m. In our May newsletter, we will let everyone know which exam we will be covering and more details about how to watch the review. For now lets get to the details of our new resources for April.

Middle School Updates

In N-Gen Math 6 this month we have resources for both Unit 11 and Unit 11cc (Statistics for both units). In both units we have the Unit 11/11cc Exit Tickets and the Unit 11/11cc Mid-Unit Quiz Form A. We have also published the Spanish language versions of the Unit Review and Unit Assessment in each unit.

In N-Gen Math 7 we have added resources for Unit 9 (The Geometry of Angles and Triangles). For this unit we have published the Exit Tickets and the Mid-Unit Quiz Form A. We also bring you the Spanish language versions of the Unit Review and Unit Assessment.

Finally in N-Gen Math 8 this month we have new materials for Unit 10 (Scientific Notation). True to form, we have the Exit Tickets for this unit along with the Mid-Unit Quiz, Form A. We also have published the Spanish language versions of the Unit Assessment and Unit Review.

High School Updates

Our Common Core Algebra I additions for this month come from Unit 10 (Statistics). We have added a Unit 10 Mid-Unit Quiz, Form C. We also bring you a set of practice problems on Linear Regression. This practice sheet gives students a chance to work more with their calculator to produce equations for the line of best fit and r-values.

In Common Core Geometry this month, we bring you new materials for Unit 9 (Circle Geometry). First, we have added a Unit 9 Mid-Unit Quiz, Form C. We have also published a set of practice problems on Circle Segment Theorems. This is a good set of problems to give students more practice with the various theorems relating the lengths of chords, secants, and tangents of circles.

Our Common Core Algebra II additions for this month come in Unit 12 (Statistics). First, we have the Unit 12 Mid-Unit Quiz, Form C. We also have a practice set of problems on Independence of events. This set of problems gives students many different scenarios to test if two events are independent.

Finally, for Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, this month we have added the Unit 12 (Statistics) Mid-Unit Quiz, Form C.
